ELIGIBILITY
The Prince George’s Source College Tour is open to 11th and 12th grade high school students who meet the following criteria:

·         Prince George’s County resident

·         Minimum of 3.0 Cumulative G.P.A 

·         Minimum of 1740 SAT  or PSAT score OR 25 ACT score (seniors only, no score requirements for juniors)

 ·         Mature, respectful, and interested in pursuing admission to a top college or university

APPLICATION

·         $5 application fee (non-refundable)

·         Most recent official high school transcript

• Resume

·         2 recommendation forms, completed by a teacher, counselor, or mentor that is NOT a relative.

TOUR INFORMATION
              The Prince George’s Source College Tour will depart at 7:00 AM on October 11th and return at 11:00 PM on October 16th. Participants will be traveling in a 12 passenger van, accompanied by two adult chaperones. All tour participants will attend an information session, guided tour, and student meet-and-greet at each of the fourteen institutions (with the exception of Bryn Mawr, Barnard, and Wellesley, which will only be visited by female participants). Each night, participants will be housed with carefully screened host students from the institutions above. 

                All complete applications received by the deadline will be reviewed, and selected students will be notified via email and phone by September 15th. Some applicants may be asked to participate in a phone interview.

                 For applicants selected to participate, payment for the college tour will be due October 1st. The cost of the tour is $310 dollars, which includes food and lodging. Payments may be made through check or through Google Checkout on www.pgsource.org.  In the event that the College Tour is cancelled, all payments will be refunded in full. In the event that a participant can no longer attend the College Tour, the participant will receive a $130 refund. Prince George’s Source is a new non-profit organization, so we do not currently have the funds to provide scholarships. However, participants for whom cost is an issue will be provided with a Fundraising Guide.
